  • Overview

    The Supervisor of Distribution is responsible for the direct management and handling of all warehousing and distribution functions at the organization’s distribution facilities. The Supervisor Distribution will accomplish effective logistical oversight through strong leadership and decision-making skills.


    The qualified candidate will possess strong communication skills, time management, be creative and innovative, have strong decision making and judgment skills, and be results focused with ethics and integrity.  Strong leadership skills to include coaching, mentoring and staff management are an important aspect of this role.



    • Manage the receiving, shipping, handling, distribution, and storage of all freight, product, and supplies that move in and out of the Distribution Center
    • Ensure all production orders are shipped in a timely and accurate manner in adherence to delivery schedules.
    • Maintain strict control over inventory levels in order to meet internal and external demand of product
    • Plan warehouse layout and space requirements in order to prevent loss or damage and to achieve full warehouse optimization
    • Manage an annual budget or capital investment plan for warehousing
    • Assist in developing and/or enforcing policies regarding security and safety in order to maintain a safe working environment
    • Maintain appropriate and complete documentation regarding regulated products and/or hazardous materials
    • Supervise a team of warehouse employees, including interviewing, delegation, training, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
    • Conduct periodic spot-checks of inventory levels, supplies , or equipment
    • Manage internal Mailroom and Will Call Operations
    • Oversees timely completion of all warehouse, facilities and transportation Purchase orders
    • Assess the need for, and arrange the purchase of power equipment such as forklifts, etc.
    • Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies between inventory records.
    • Implement and monitor performance metrics for all warehouse activities in accordance with Labor Management Standards
    • Manage handling of Dangerous Goods in accordance with DOT requirements



    • 3-5 years line experience in warehousing, transportation, supply chain management, inventory control, or materials management
    • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or equivalent experience
    • Direct knowledge of Oracle or similar WMS
    • Experience with radio frequency ID systems (RFID), bar code systems
    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
    • Analytical skills capable to deliver business results based on critical thinking
    • Solid project management skills are essential
    • Knowledge and experience of warehouse documentation, with solid writing skills
    • Limited travel may be required
    • Ability to attend and conduct presentations
    • Ability to inspect company property and assets
    • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals
