  • Overview

    The Facilities Maintenance Technician will be responsible for building maintenance and repairs, including appropriate electrical, lighting, plumbing and mechanical repairs. Assist in fulfilling maintenance requests and insuring a safe working environment for employees. Support weekend work when needed, and “on-call” as needed.


    Weekends and Overtime are required on occasion. Typical working hours are Monday - Friday 7 AM - 4 PM.



    In this role you will maintain the Irvine office physical space, furniture and equipment in an organized, clean, well maintained condition.


    • Maintain internal and external facility and all grounds in meticulous condition
    • Work with outside contractors as needed.
    • Maintain generator logs, fire extinguishers and other programs as assigned.
    • Support facilities projects as assigned
    • Support all departments as requested
    • Support meeting and company functions as assigned, to include:
      • Auditorium set up and tear down to include all needed support
      • Support all Irvine facility events, both on and off site
      • Regularly test and maintain building security, PA, and camera systems in conjunction with IT
      • Completed work orders as agreed upon by SLA (Service Level Agreement)


    Specific Measures of Job Performance

    • Ability to complete tasks given in a timely and complete manner.
    • Ability to keep management appraised of all task completions, and potential problematic issues.
    • Provide appropriate customer service in a timely manner to all internal/external customers.
    • Effective and appropriate communication to all levels of customers and management.
    • Effective management and use of Facilities Work Order System.


    • Basic hands on knowledge of electrical, plumbing, roofing and mechanical repairs and maintenance.
    • Working knowledge of hand and power tools.
    • Basic construction knowledge/experience
    • Blueprint reading
    • Basic knowledge of building, OSHA, Fire codes
    • Ability to complete repairs safely and in a timely customer-oriented manner
    • Basic knowledge and use of Microsoft Office [Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint]
    • Bi-lingual (Spanish), preferred


    • Positive customer friendly and welcoming approach
    • Must work well with others in an office and warehouse environment.
    • Must be able to work, and complete tasks, with limited supervision.
    • Must exhibit a proactive / positive attitude on project tasks and solutions.
    • Must be willing to be a part of the safety committee
    • Must be willing to flexible in terms of hours and days worked
    • Follow all company and department policies
