The HR specialist is responsible with the oversight of multiple HR programs/functions in the areas of: benefit and retirement programs, general HR processes, and various other employee and recognition programs.


Duties & Responsibilities/Essential Functions



  1. Manages new hire employee benefit enrollment.
  2. Manages benefit eligibility for life events.
  3. Work with benefits broker and vendor on questions and issues.
  4. Ensures the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in HR system to ensure accurate eligibility information with all vendors
  5. Performs quality checks of benefits-related data.
  6. Manages benefits claim issues and provides feedback for potential plan changes.
  7. Oversees benefits enrollment collateral for all US sites.
  8. Responds to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries.
  9. Responds to 401(k) inquiries from managers and employees relating to enrollments, plan changes, and contribution amounts.
  10. Oversees tuition reimbursement program process.
  11. Administer monthly benefits billing.



  1. Conduct Temp/Contractor and Employee New Hire Orientation
  2. Manages the Genius Award Incentive Program
  3. Collection and review of all new hire paperwork and employee follow-up if needed. Creation of employee and HIPPA files for Irvine and International locations.
  4. Manages new hire process paperwork and system update after orientation is complete
  5. Coordinate with HR Generalist to facilitate Exit Interviews. Ensures all required paperwork is obtained and filed in Employee file
  6. Coordinate off-site storage with Iron Mountain.
  7. Processes new hires in HRIS, as well as status changes, transfers, rate changes, etc.
  8. Oversee process documentation for HR system entry and revise as needed.
  9. Provides recommendations for HR process improvements. Update HR forms as needed.
  10. Oversight of I-9 book.
  11. Management of Employment Verifications.
  12. HR librarian for JOSTLE – Insider Intranet.
  13. Performs other tasks and projects as assigned.
  14. Monitor and manage HR shared Inbox
  15. Serve as a backup to LOA administrator.





Job Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Bachelor’s Degree Preferred

3-5 years of related HR/Benefits experience


Required Skills

Experience with administering and providing specialized support for employee benefits programs

Project Management skills

Solid problem solving skills

Clear and professional communication skills

Working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Ability to multi-task and proceed with a sense of urgency Superior organizational skills and very detail oriented Ability to build relationships and have a positive attitude This position has access to and knowledge of sensitive, private and confidential materials, therefore ability to maintain the highest standard is required.
