Overview

The Document Control Clerk will be responsible for maintaining the document control system for all GMP documents that define product specifications and control manufacturing processes to ensure conformance to regulatory and customer requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Performs clerical tasks related to controlled documentation processes for increased efficiency, cost reduction, and metric reporting.
  • Ensures that all GMP Documentation is filed in a controlled and timely manner
  • Reviews OTC Production batch records against Master Formula records to assure that most current revision of the manufacturing instructions have been assigned to Operations.  
  • Tracks all controlled documentation that has been checked out of the Document Center  
  • Maintains Master Formula files   
  • Handles assignments as necessary to meet company objectives and contract customer commitments.
  • Maintains departmental databases related to control documents.
  • Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 1 year of hands-on document control experience in a pharmaceutical, biomedical, or medical device field (regulated industry).

  • Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices.

  • Must be hands-on, results oriented individual.

  • Strong written and communication skills

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel.
